GLoscalab Screening Services

The GLOSCALAB SCREENING SERVICES in Nigeria was established in 2021 to perform hemoglobinopathy screening services starting with Anambra State. It is a not-for-profit private health care service entity registered in Nigeria.

GLOSACALAB SCREENING SERVICES conducts laboratory testing for sickle cell disorders or hemoglobinopathies across the lifespan but with a special focus on newborn babies and children up to five years of age. Screening results are given to families and referrals are made to health care providers for follow up and treatment when indicated. Sickle cell disorders related public and professional education and training including counseling are available.

The program is staffed by laboratory scientists, hemoglobinopathy educators, sickle cell advocate and consumer. Multidisciplinary hemoglobinopathy services consultants are available on a volunteer basis.
